Piyush Kumar is a String Theorist at the Yale University who works in String Phenomenology.[1] He has recently been working in the properties of the string theory vacua, specifically the implications in particle physics, such as the prediction of the Higgs mass.[2]
In March 2013, the LHC had observed the Higgs at the ATLAS and CMS experiments, at a mass of $ 125 \frac{\operatorname{ GeV}}{c_0^2} $. Thus, the classes of String Theory Vacua which predict a drastically different Higgs mass are ruled out, narrowing down the String Theory Landscape.
